2020 Mclaren 720S Landing Page Completed

Hey coders it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. Quite a bit of change is taking place And it’s been kicking my ass momentarily. Change in work schedule, work, and newborn. Even with coding it’s changed.

The one hour a day to learn to code promoted by #100DaysOfCode is definitely not enough time. I’ve been overwhelmed with not learning enough and not fast enough. Seriously if you’re job is a developer you’re coding for 8 hours.

So I’ve been working on trying to code for more longer periods of time uninterrupted. Essentially working on focus. With everything grabbing for our attention now a days fighting for our minds.

The 2020 Mclaren 720S website project has been completed. Since last blog I had to photoshop all of the photos into transparent png files. Most images I came across were not the new 2020 Mclaren 720S.

From last blog I completed the latest design page and footer contact info and also made it mobile and tablet responsive.

Making the website responsive was pretty simple. I just had to add a media query code into the main.css file that imports all of the CSS files. Then copy and paste the media query code from the main.css into all of the CSS files at the bottom so it’s separated from the old code.

From there once the file was being inspected in the tablet/mobile view I just inspected certain items that didn’t look right. Then just changed the positioning and size of things one by one on each of the sections made for the page.

Overall my HTML and CSS skills are getting way better as positioning and changing sizes are becoming more second nature as well as inspecting and debugging errors.

Now I am halfway through the GitHub like Pro course which I will go into further detail in the next blog post.
