Day 25 Starting 2019 with JavaScript

Today is the first day of the year and it was spent learning about the JavaScript’s basics! What a great start to the year. I am really appreciating taking notes from w3schools. It has allowed me to understand the fundamentals more in depth compared to just executing code. However, just taking notes about JavaScript wasn’t enough. Actually executing code in freecodecamp is making everything click together.

The JavaScript Basics of JavaScript Algorithms And Data Structures Certification (300 hours) curriculum is the longest part. Matter of fact, it seems to be the longest certification course in freecodecamp. This motivates me to finish this JavaScript course even more. Today finished just about half of the JavaScript Basics.

As mentioned earlier actually executing the code while knowing what a function does or which data types are which from notes. This method seems to give me a much better understanding. It seems to be more time-consuming, however not by much. Only about 2 weeks extra of note-taking.

This whole experience is an experiment, which good coders experiment, experiment, experiment. Fail fast and don’t be afraid too. This can be applied to any aspect of life.
